Dr. Madhuri Bhavsar
Madhuri Bhavsar is currently working as Professor and Head
of the Computer Science and Engineering Department and has over two decades of
teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level. She did her B.Tech
in Computer Engineering and her ME with specialization in Microprocessor
Systems and Applications . She received her PhD degree from Nirma University in
the field of High Performance Computing in 2012. Recently, Dr. Madhuri has
received ISTE National level award for “Best Women in Engineering”,
from Chief Minister of Goa. She is a recipient of the “ISTE Best
Engineering College Teacher, State of Gujarat” award for the year 2017, in
recognition of her outstanding contribution to the academic community and the
students. She is also recipient of the “Best Research Paper Award” in
2019, 2017 and 2005 at IEEE International and National Conferences. Dr Madhuri’s
main field of interest is Cloud Computing and she has research project grants
of Rs 85 lacs for 5 research projects, each from GUJCOST, Space Application
Center – ISRO, Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS), DAE and DST, to
her credit. She has chaired and successfully organised the International
Conference ‘NUiCONE ‘ and also, co-chaired ‘NUiCONE 2013’ and has also handled
ISTE Gujarat section activities as Secretary. Dr Madhuri is a registered PhD
guide at Nirma University and is currently supervising five PhD scholars.
Besides, five scholars have successfully completed PhD under her guidance.. She
has also authored/edited three books in the field of “High Performance
Computing”. Dr Madhuri has worked as a technical reviewer and has been on
the advisory board for various International conferences and Journals.
Dr.Swati Jain
Dr Swati Jain is working as an Associate Professor in Computer Science and Engineering Department, Nirma University, Ahmedabad, India. She has academic experience of more than 21 years. She is a gold medallist in MTech. She works in the area of Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and Deep Learning. She has worked on five funded research projects, two of them are funded under BRNS (Board for Research In nuclear science)- Department of Atomic Energy and three by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). She has conducted a customized training program on Big Data Analytics and Machine Learning for Scientists of the Indian Space Research Organization. She received a faculty fellowship and worked for 5 weeks at SUNY, Binghamton, New York in 2019. She with other faculty members of the department coordinates activities of CoE (Data Science) in the department, in collaboration with SUNY Binghamton, New York. Dr Jain is also coordinating BTech curriculum design at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. She is PG coordinator for the M Tech (Data Science) Program in CSE department in Data Science Specialization
Dr. Kanu Patel
Dr. Kanu Patel is working as an Assistant Professor in Computer Science and Engineering Department at Nirma University. Dr Patel has more than 12 years of teaching experience. He has completed doctoral studies from CHARUSAT University in 2023. His research area includes Wireless Sensor Networks, IoT Security and Data science. He has written and published three books for diploma and UG students. He has published more than 20 review/research papers in international journals and conferences. He works in the area of agricultural science, Data science, Wireless sensor network and Internet of Things (IOT).
